If I rang them up for support, do they just listen like the Samaritans? Do they give any practical advice?

Just so I know if I do decide to call them.

I think they can put you in touch with a local volunteer who has been through something similar.

I
called them after my first mc but didn't really feel I would click with the lady I spoke to. She did offer to meet for coffee but I never took her up on it for that reason.

The lady on the phone listened to me and her feedback helped me feel better.

It's a shame they're not open in the evenings.
