Possible miscarriage

Found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago going by lmp I am due 14 October... Where I'm from midwifes are scarce and was told might not see one until 11-12 weeks and not heard a peep about scan so booked private one for 8w3days...

At the scan all try could see was a yolk sac, measuring 8x8mm she said it wasn't what you'd expect from a 8 week old pregancy... It could be a miscarriage or my dates could be wrong... However I don't think they can be... Anyone else had this and had positive results? I need another scan in a week to see if baby has grown and I've been told not to stress and stay positive... So looking for something to help with that... I have had no bleeding at all x

Could be you ovulate late? If you only got a positive test two weeks ago you could just be 6 weeks preg?

Sending you the being in limbo between scans is horrible. Dating from LMP is only accurate if you ovulate day 14, if you sometimes have long cycles you may be earlier than you think, if you are certain you are 8 weeks plus (6 weeks post ov) then it doesn't sound promising. I hope you get good news at your next scan.

Maybe a week out but didn't think they could be 2... The scan would suggest I was more 5.5 6 weeks

I had a scan at 7w3d with my dd, measuring less than 5 weeks with no fetal pole seen, only a small sac. It was due to a retroverted uterus (which is not uncommon) and by dating scan she was measuring ahead of dates as I actually ovulated early that month, and her measurements tied in with her dates.

I have had many other early scans measuring behind dates that lead to miscarriages. But yes it is possible to measure 2 weeks behind and it be a normal and fine pregnancy (see misdiagnosed miscarriages website to read more about it)

I don't want to give you false hope, but there is hope, you just can't know until your next scan. I hope for a little miracle for you.

THANKYOU willitbe all I have is hope for now... Still having very full on pregnancy symptoms and still no bleed... So I think there's reason to be positive at least I really hope so! Praying for a miracle so badly!
