Pregnant after missed miscarriage - so scared!

Hi!

I had a mmc back in June and am now pregnant again. In fact my 12 week scan is tomorrow. I'm so scared - what if it happens again?! I don't know how I'll cope.

I don't know why I'm posting even - I know there are lots of stories where women has a mmc then a successful pregnancy, but there must also be some who have had two mmc in a row.

What was your experience (I need good and bad because I was over reassured about bleeding last time).

I just had a 6 week scan after a MMC/Partial molar last year and 2 other losses (I am on clexane now). It was soooo scary I know exactly how you feel. But it has to be done.

In my case, best moment of relief ever... heartbeat and all normal. Now just waiting for the next scan.

It's still scary but that wait for the 1st one after a MMC is simply awful, hang on in there!

Oh 2be, it's horrible, isn't it.
If it's of any help, I had a mmc a year before you, and I've just put 6mo dd down for a nap. I was a mess all through the process, though. It's natural. Let us know how you get on, and best of luck to you.

Pregnancy, not process!

Thank you ladies. I decided not to have a private reassurance scan because to actually reassure me is need them every week! This 9 weeks has been so long!

Millysdream · 23/01/2014 21:23

Good luck. I am 7 weeks pregnant and know how you feel. After 3 miscarriages, am a nervous wreck now. Had a scan already and all ok with normal heartbeat. Hopefully having another on Monday but am so worried as have been here before. Wishing you lots of luck and love xxx

I know exactly how u feel.
Take one day, sometimes one hour at a time.

2beornot · 24/01/2014 08:25

Thank you! Woke up today with a bad stomach (which is probably trapped wind or something) so that didn't help.

At the moment I'm thinking it could go either way - I have no feelings whether it'll be good news or bad. 3.5 hours to go!

Good luck op, I can empathise with you to some extent. I had a mc in Oct and pregnant again, although very early. I'm dreading scans but trying unsuccessfully to be positive. I really hope your scan is fine and you get lots of reassurance from seeing your little one xx

2beornot · 24/01/2014 13:29

All fine!!! I have to admit to welling up when I saw the first measurement said 12+6 and then she showed us the fuzzy heartbeat!! Thank you for support - just the next 27 weeks to get through now!!
