Vitamins/supplements after miscarriage

Hi everyone,
I recently posted as just going through a m/c.
Second pregnancy, have a DS from first.

I think the worst is over now and don't feel too bad, definately don't feel pregnant anymore.

Is there any supplements or vitamins that are recommended/worth taking? Anything to aid recovery and prepare for next time?

Thanks

I carried on taking pregnancy multivitamins because I had lots. The only thing you must be taking is folic acid, but I felt I could do with the boost. I also took Spatone liquid iron supplement for a few weeks post miscarriage.

Wine and chocolate also have medicinal properties...

Thankyou. I ate a massive bag of chocolate buttons yesterday!

I am still taking Folic acid, but might add a multivit as well. I used to suffer with anemia so an iron supplements might be worth a look.

I definitely needed iron after mc, then throughout the next pregnancy and after that for a while.

All the best.

Thanks. Think I will head to Holland and Barrett tomorrow!

You can take arnica for general bruising and injury, considered perfectly safe. I have taken just about everything imaginable in the supplement front, especially iron in liquid form to make up for blood loss because I have felt so shattered.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I found vitamin B complex, vitamin D and a strong conception multivitamin (e.g. pregnacare) made me feel a lot better and helped with my cycles (which had got messed up).
