Miscarriage Association fundraising

I don't know if it's the done thing but having suffered from a MMC in November I wanted to bring some positivity out of this horrible experience and raise awareness of the Miscarriage Association as a charity, because one thing I was startled by is how common miscarriages are, yet how awkward people get when the subject is raised.

This morning my husband and I took part in the Loony Dook 2014. This involved going for a swim in the chilly waters of the Firth of Forth at South Queensferry on the outskirts of Edinburgh at 10.30am.

The Miscarriage Association was founded in 1982 by a group of people who had experienced miscarriage and they continue to offer support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy and to raise awareness and promote good practice in medical care.

At the toughest of times the miscarriage association (and this Mumsnet forum), provided great support, and we wanted to return the favour.

well done! I think you are correct, it's such an awful position to be in, that then creates a difficulty on how people communicate around you.............. I think it should be more in the open, because I can imagine a lot of women need to be able to talk about it openly.
