5 weeks - brown spotting

As the title suggests I'm give weeks pregnant and today I woke up with some mild period type pain and some dark red/brown spotting. Continued to spot throughout day. Hardly anything.
Do you think this is the beginning of a miscarriage? I'm bricking it!

Hi, spotting in early pregnancy does not always mean you are about to miscarry, lots of women have it and go full term. Are you having any cramping or backache? I'd seek advice from your GP and they will probably send you to the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital for a scan or blood test to check your hcg levels. Fingers crossed for you xxx
