Ectopic pregnancy

Hi there,
I recently had surgery due to ectopic pregnancy.
I was unaware of the pregnancy until my right fallopian tube ruptured at five weeks causing internal bleeding and emergency surgery. It was a frightening life risking time for me as I nearly died and sadly I lost my right tube and ovary being a the rupture was so bad.
The nurses were wonderful and kind to me but two weeks on now I am still recovering and I feel very devastated. I still have my left ovary but I'm so worried about my chances of conception now.
I would like to know if anybody else has had a similar experience to me.
My partner and I were planning for a baby next year. But I am worried now that we will never get our baby :(
Maybe I'm just being far too paranoid but I just needed to talk and ask advice.

thank you xxx

I'm so sorry emo that must have been a horrible experience to compound the grief of losing your baby. I haven't had an ectopic but I've bumped up the support thread for you, hopefully some success stories post-ectopic to inspire you and plenty of people who've been there to hand hold.
