So worried! Please help!

Went for a scan today after spotting. According to my last period I should be 7 weeks but I measured 6 and 2 on the scan. Now here´s the thing, I the gestational sac and embryo were tiny 4mm and 1mm respectively. I have read that a difference between the two less than 5mm carries a 95% chance of miscarriage, in spite of the fact of a heartbeat. I did have a heartbeat detected of 113 but that makes no sense since everything is so small. I am so worried. I already miscarried once in february and can´t do this again. My husband thinks I should be so happy with everything, but I just can´t be after reading what I have read. Please help!

Sorry you are worried [hugs] What did the ultrasonographer or doctor have to say about those findings? I think Dr Google is not your friend in this instance. Did they schedule another scan?

Hi Bakingtins!! Thank you for your response. I am scheduled for another scan in 10 days. The gyno just commented it was small and we just have to hope it would grow. To be honest I felt he couldn´t get me out of his office quick enough. I just don´t get how it can be so small with a heartbeat.

Something doesn't sound right. My most recent pregnancy was dated from scan at 6 weeks when the embryo measured 5mm and that's when they expect to see a HB. I'm would think a 1mm embryo couldn't have a HB? Are you sure about the measurements? What is the 6.2 based on if sac and embryo were so small?

I know nothing except a much more positive set of measurements at the next scan will reassure you now the doubt is there. Hope the next 10 days fly by.

Thanks bakingtins, it all just seems so off, for it to be so tiny with a regular heartbeat. I had a retroverted uterus by the scan so I am so hoping the measurements are off. With my first miscarriage I was 2mm at 6 weeks with a sack of about 13mm and a heartbeat of 94, by the next week the heart had stopped and the embryo only grew 1mm. It just all seems so surreal. I also hope the 10 days fly by as I am an emotional wreck and have no one in real life that understands this!

I am unsure of why they put it at 6 and 2 when a 4mm sack would be more like 4 weeks. I have no idea. I am in a foreign speaking country which I think makes it worse!

Is it possible something got lost in translation then? Crossing everything for you that it turns out ok.
