Not sure if I had a miscarriage?

Hi there. It's quite a long story, and I understand noones an expert, including the doctor. But any advice from personal experience would be great.

So I was last at my GP around the 12th June, and was taken off the Pill for one month to see if it was causing headaches. I then finished my pack on the 19th, followed by my period on 23rd-26th June. I used to get really bad pain and really heavy periods before going on the Pill, so although I was bedridden for 2 days in sheer agony, at the time I assumed this was just the pain returning. I then had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 29th, and took the Morning After Pill on the 1st July (first time the pharmacy was open). 3 days later, I started spotting, and assumed it was due to the MAP. The following morning, I woke up and went to the toilet and had a lot of brown/cream kind of mucusy gunk? After i cleared this, I then began bleeding quite heavily, but the same as the previous period. It was the next day (Saturday 6th July), I was continuously being sick, and bleeding was BRIGHT red, and soaking through 1 regular tampon every hour. I phoned NHS24 and was given an emergency appointment. Although the pregnancy test came back negative from my urine sample, the doctor suggested this could be a possible miscarriage, and diagnosed Norethisterone to control the bleeding. The Norethisterone did work, and so I stopped taking it yesterday as I assumed I had finished bleeding, but I've not started spotting bright red again.

I do have a doctors appointment this afternoon, but like I say, some advice from those who know what this is like would be really appreciated.

it sounds unlikely you were pregnant in that short window. could the bleeding have been a side effect from the morning after pill?

They did mention that it was possible, but unlikely because of how heavy the bleeding was. They suggested that my earlier "period" wasn't a true period, but they've also said they'll never know for definite unless something unrelated comes to light from exam/swabs. It doesn't help me thinking in my head that I could've lost a baby though - even if it was unplanned and unrealised.

It doesn't sound likely unless you got pregnant whilst you were on the pill, the window is too short between the unprotected sex and the bleed for an embryo to have even implanted by then. It sounds pretty unpleasant though, I hope it settles down soon.
