Don't really want to be here again...

Ugh, I really thought I'd cracked it this time. I had a scan at 10 weeks, and all was well, heart beating away. Today, at 11 weeks andfrom nowhere, I have bright red bleeding like someone turned on a tap. I'm back at the EPU in the morning, but just know that it's all gone wrong again.

I already have a 2 yo DS who is wonderful, but don't think I'm strong enough to try again if this is ending in miscarriage. I had a mmc in November and it nearly drove me bonkers.

Not sure of the point of my post, but wanted to write it down I guess.

Hmm I feel your pain, I am so sorry your having to go through this again.
It's horrific to lose 1 but when you go up from that it stay with you.
Have you got a good support network?
Have you deffo lost this one?
It's rare but some people go through a bleed and it's not so bad news, I'm not trying to get your hopes up, I'm just saying some people.
I really hope your ok, if you need to talk I'm here xxxx?

Thanks so much for replying. Nothing is definite yet, and the midwife was trying to reassure me that it doesn't necessarily mean the worst, but to me bright red equals bad. I guess I'll see what the EPU say tomorrow. Thanks again for the support. x

Sorry for what you're going through. I've just been through a mmc too and can't imagine what it must be like to experience it over again. As lj says though I have heard stories of bleeds which haven't meant mc so it may be ok, I can understand your worry based on your experience. Don't have anything useful to say really, just wanted to offer support x

offering to hold your hand and hoping and praying for a positive outcome.

I know it's impossible not to worry chicken ,especially when you've been through a miscarriage recently but it could be fine.
I've had it both ways, bleeding at 10-11 weeks that led up to a miscarriage but also bleeding at 9w and again at 15w with DD2 who was perfectly fine and is now 9 (going on 19!) .
I hope when you have your scan tomorrow at the EPU there's a little heart still beating away. xx

Thinking of you today chickens . Hope you get good news.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers- it seems they paid off! Grin Scan this morning showed a healthy 11 week embryo with a strong heartbeat with no obvious reason for the bleeding. For now, I'll continue to keep everything crossed and repeat that mantra, 'today, I'm pregnant'.

Thanks all again, mumsnet is ace!

Happy wishes to you. I had a heavy red bleed with my son at 7/8 weeks pregnant and he's 16 months old now.

Good luck x
