How long after early mc for cycle to return to normal?

Just that really - had a mc at 5+5 and bled for a week. The bleeding finished nine days ago, today I had blood-tinged cm which usually precedes a period for me so I guess it's on its way. I never have any mid-cycle spotting and never had implantation bleeding in either of my pregnancies - besides, have only dtd once since mc and that was Thursday night so would be too early for this to be implantation. If I count the first day of the mc as cd1, I'm now on cd16.

Bit depressed at the prospect of af showing up only a week after the mc finished!

I've always found that it takes my cycles take a fair while to settle down - it takes 2 or 3 before I start to get signs of OV and the cycle length settles back down.

First AF has always been a week later than normal for me but some minor bleeding in that first cycle par for the course. It's not so affectionately known as a WTF cycle on the TTC after MC threads because anything goes. After MC1 (10 wks) cycle was screwy for about 3 m, but seems to have been normal after first AF with the others.

Thanks for your kind words - thinking of it as WTF cycle is very helpful! Have had no more spotting so don't know what it was but going to try not to torture myself wondering.

Jelly, I had an early miscarriage last month. I treated the first day of the bleed as start of my cycle. We then tried to conceive again and I found out yesterday that I am pregnant again so have everything crossed for success this time. I don't mean to give any false hope, I just want you to remain positive as it can happen.
