Sore breasts/lactation after 15wk termination

So as if I wasn't feeling pretty shite anyway, Monday night I started to lactate (a tiny amount)
My boobs are so sore and hard, I didn't know what was wrong! I was rubbing them as they were hard, hubby checked too, as I tried to sleep they got damp :(
Been to gp, nothing can be done but taking painkillers. Any tips, how long might it last? Gah!

I had a similar thing after losing DD at 19 weeks - I'd say it lasted a couple of weeks, I just used breast pads until it calmed down to deal with the leaking, no advice about the hardness/soreness though - my midwife suggested wearing v tight, supportive bras at all times. I just moaned to DH about it all the time. It's such a horrible thing to go through, I swear someone at the hospital said I could take some medication to stop the milk coming in but my GP and midwife weren't very helpful when it came to that.

I hope it doesn't last long for you

thanks cluxy for your reply. The hospital I was at do give meds to stop the milk coming in but they only tend to do it from about 20 weeks. Luckily the milk seems to have stopped so far, still sore though. Husband accidentally brushed against one last night, felt like I'd been stabbed in the boob!!

I had the same after my mc, so sorry its so unfair after you have been through enough. it does stop on its own after a few day, I took the medication to stop it as it upset me so much but I really don't recommend it. made me so sick dizzy and felt awful. wish I had been warned of the side effects at the time.
