Hi all, carrying on from part 6. All kinicker-checkers, blood-testers, clinic-attenders and finger-crossers welcome. Nothing but love and crossed fingers...

(mental picture of Squiz slapping a witch with a wet fish)

I'm driving myself mad here. There have just been two MMCs at 8 weeks on the pred thread, have convinced myself I'm going to be the third Hmm 8 days until doomsday...

squizita · 16/10/2013 20:23

Hehe! She's brilliantly evil!

Congrats OBD
due date is awful, on my last mc i made sure i never knew due date, the wait between scans is awful, fingers crossed baking, hope everyone else is doing ok!

aMuminwaiting · 17/10/2013 14:32

Hi everyone. I recognise a few names here and have been on lots of threads over the past few years. Well I FINALLY got my appointment for St Mary's. I'm seeing Mr Aziz. I had a large ectropion removed last week though so they won't be able to do the scan next week but I'll have bloods done and a consultation then the scan when the bloods are repeated six weeks later. I've been trying to fill in the questionnaire but with six miscarriages in three years I have a lot to remember! Nervous but excited to get things moving along at long last.

butterfly86 · 17/10/2013 14:51

Hi amuminwaiting good luck with your appointment next week it's good when you feel like you are moving along a bit hope you get some answers, I have an ectropian too it's a pain it causes me to bleed after dtd sometimes the consultant said she will treat it at some stage but it would hinder ttc as you can't have sex for a while, how was it having it done?

aMuminwaiting · 17/10/2013 18:38

It was more a bit more painful than they'd led me to believe but it was over in a few minutes and totally worth it if it stops me bleeding all the time. You get a feeling like an electric shock going through your body when it's done but then I had no bleeding after which is unusual for me, even smears make me bleed! So long as it takes the fear of bleeding away from the next pregnancy I'll be very happy.
I wasn't given an aftercare leaflet and the constant leaking of fluid was a shock but luckily I had my midwife Aunt to ask and she said it's normal. The consultant said no sex for a month so that's not too bad (not that hubby would agree). We're not trying whilst we have the tests done at St Mary's anyway.

Bakingtins · 17/10/2013 19:59

Good luck for your appointment muminwaiting

Justonemoretime · 17/10/2013 20:08

Hi aMum, good luck with your St Mary's, isn't that questionnaire detailed?! I took a load of papers from various appointments over the years with me, too, and they took photocopies of some of them, so that might help. Good luck with it.
I'm in there on Monday for my hysteroscopy and coil fitting. I'm under the care of Prof Regan according to the letter, so I don't know if that means she'll be doing the op? Does anyone know how long it takes to recover/stop bleeding/be able to go swimming/have a bath/have sex(!)?
I'm a bit worried that the HRT will make me overly emotional, which I could do without (and so could those around me!).
Waves to everyone else, hope you're doing OK? x

squizita · 17/10/2013 20:48

Just Yes I took a bloody great folder with me too! The nearest I got to the famous Prof Regan was her stapler which Mr Aziz borrowed lol!

Mumimwaiting Mr Aziz is very calm and clear, you're in good hands. Best of luck!

Think AF is on her way, but as today's day 26 (so 27 tomorrow) very pleased with the way pregnacare + tesco vit b complex + fish oil seems to be working. One less thing to worry about. Grin

Waves to everyone. Been catching up. Nada to say at the mo. Just in the 2ww. Things seem pretty positive around here (well as much as can be expected) which I am happy to read.

butterfly86 · 18/10/2013 07:52

Thanks aMum, I bleed after smears too I will definately have it done at some point like you say it's worth a few minutes of pain to stop it.

Good luck with your appointment just x

Hi to baking and squiz :)

Don't- I'm in the 2ww too af is due on tuesday I'm totally symptom spotting I can't help myself I'm going to drive myself crazy the month feels too long! I had a light pink tinge on monday morn (after I'd just dreamt I was in labour!) then tues I had light brown spotting for most of the day, my hopeful side would like to think it was implantation but I won't hold my breath. Do you have long to wait? X

donttrythisathome · 19/10/2013 01:12

Day 22 now butterfly, so another few days yet. Don't feel anything so doubt it will be this month.
Yours sounds promising!
I am trying not to expect anything each month and starting to make space in my head for alternative futures without a pregnancy as it was really messing with my head.

squizita · 19/10/2013 10:06

Halloween Angry has landed. Day 27, perfectly timed. Well well, pricy vitamin B complex and pregnacare seem to have worked out my luteal phase this month. Snooty uterus! (TMI) It's quite dark and clotty - we will see if Mr Aziz thinks that's a good or a bad thing.

Bakingtins · 19/10/2013 14:04

Squiz you do make me laugh! Glad the vits seem to be working, 27 days sounds v respectable.

Good luck Donttry and butterfly.

donttrythisathome · 19/10/2013 21:16

How Norf London of your womb Squiz!! No value pack vitamins in your neck of the wood! 27 days is great. Mine have come from 30/31 days to 28. Not sure why and don't think is a problem to have 30/31 day cycle - still shorter cycles is more opportunities to get pregnant.

Purplefrogshoe · 20/10/2013 19:09

Hi everyone hope you are doing ok, I'm due back to work at the start of November and I just found out all three people I will be working closely with are preg, I hope I can hold it together because it going to be constant baby talk

Bakingtins · 20/10/2013 21:42

Good luck purple. Do they know about your losses? Is it worth telling them so you don't have to endure endless baby chatter? Tough one!

Purplefrogshoe · 21/10/2013 14:29

Thank you, no they dont know, ive had a word with my manager and she is going to place me somewhere else, its a big office so she said it wont be a problem, its a weight off my mind

squizita · 21/10/2013 19:41

That must be a relief. Glad it's sorted.

How is everyone? I'm going a bit mad waiting for Thursday to roll around. DH just doesn't get it, can't understand why since I've had no bleeding I think anything might be wrong (um, four previous bad experiences at this stage??) He has total faith in the little white pills.

LateBloomer414 · 22/10/2013 07:55

Good morning Baking, hope today goes quickly for you. I hate that endless purgatory feeling. I know it's impossible not to think about it, but is there anything you can do to take your mind off it? Yoga, a walk, DIY project, baking (ha!), holiday planning , Christmas list writing....?

butterfly86 · 22/10/2013 08:13

Baking I hope the next couple if days pass quickly for you, that feeling of waiting for scan date is awful I hope everything is well on thursday x

Bakingtins · 22/10/2013 08:20

I have my sons' birthday party coming up on Saturday but is mostly done - have spent the last few weeks making wands, writing terrible rhyming couplets for a treasure hunt and sticking feathers on Ferrero Rocher chocolates to make snitches (HP party) Friday is make the Hedwig cake day - could all be v difficult if it's bad news. Have done all Chrimbo shopping for the boys and for all my nieces and nephews. Veritable hive of activity but it does not help at 5am.....
