Miscarriage before period due?

Hello,

My periods are as regular as clockwork, but it arrived yesterday and I wasn't due until Sunday. It's been extremely heavy and painful with large clots, could it be an early miscarriage? DP and I have been TTC number2 for 6 months and I've had a couple of months where I have 'felt' pregnant - feeling nauseous, going off tea, but then AF arrived as normal. I've had no pregnant feelings this month.
All I want to know really is whether I should bother the GP or sit it out?

TTC for 6 months can start to take it toll on the mind I found. I hope you have some success soon. It took me almost a year for my first and I lost the plot at 8 months! There really is nothing to say to your GP in this instance I'd say, and most certainly nothing for them to do. Most likely an aberration of your usual cycle rather than an early miscarriage. My early miscarriages have been just the same as a period. Later ones (11 weeks) were much heavier.

Thanks for your reply clabsyqueen. DS1 took 9months to concieve so I'm used to that side of things! I was just a bit frightened at the amount of blood / clots that were coming out this morning. It's calmed down now and I've stopped panicking.
