MMC - started light bleeding on Saturday, still light - when will it get worse?

I started light bleeding at 12 weeks on Saturday, it's still very light and I'm wondering when it's going to get worse.

The earliest my hospital can offer an ERPC is Weds and I'm wondering if things will have started by then, I'd rather have the ERPC than miscarry naturally but am frustrated they can't offer one sooner. Can I ask them to phone other hospitals in my area?

We're meant to go on holiday (in UK) next week and I'm at a loss of what to do, go or stay and have the ERPC.

Sorry is a bit of a ramble, am confused and upset Sad

Hi guff didn't want to leave your post unanswered but it's a bit of a " how long is a piece of string" question. I think trying to get an ERPC elsewhere is a good idea, or have you considered medical management if that's not possible, to get you out of this horrible limbo stage? A week is a long time to wait once you know it's all over. You may find once you have had confirmation that your baby has died that your body can let go and it will progress naturally anyway, but it's rubbish that you don't get to choose how you want to be managed.
I'm really sorry you are facing this, we are here when you need some support.

Please excuse the insensitive question but are you sure it's a missed miscarriage?
I bled on and off and then constantly for weeks on end between 5 +6 and 14 weeks

Bleeding without pain if it doesn't get worse within 4 days gives you a good chance (75%) things are ok-ish

Either way take care of yourself

Yes had my 12 week scan and it's just an empty sac, so shocking and upsetting. Only had light bleeding for a week and am terrified of the miscarriage kicking in properly, I really don't want to go through it naturally, I just want the ERPC and to get it all over and done with Sad

Personally ( after going through this Only this week) I would call other hospitals to see if they can get you in any sooner . I found out I had a mmc last Thursday and was only have tiny spotting, on Saturday morning it became heavier and on Monday from 6am it suddenly came on full throttle. I was due to be in the hospital that morning for an erpc but somehow my body just wouldn't hold out that little bit longer. It wasn't very nice at all and I did still go in to have the erpc but that wasn't until 9:30pm! I got to the hospital at 9:30am! If you have any questions message me . Stay strong xx
