What is the risk of adhesions after a second erpc

I had an erpc for a blighted ovum last October and I've just found out I've had a mmc. I would prefer to have another erpc but I've read that the risks of adhesions are much higher after a second erpc. Does anyone know where there are any statistics on this? I've had a good look but I can't find anything except the Ashermans website which was v scary.

I don't have any stats for you but I've had 2 erpcs and the consultant who did the last one said that, if done properly, they are quite safe. I've since had a sis scan procedure to check for scarring and other abnormalities (by a different consultant) and none were found. I also prefer erpcs to waiting and another benefit is they can test the tissue and so after my last erpc they found it had triploidy which probably caused the mc.

Obviously that's just my experience but hope it helps. Definitely get reassurance from your consultant. I also wasn't convinced my medical management as there's a risk you'd need an erpc anyway.

Sorry for your loss and good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I've had 2 surgerys ERPC and ectopic and tube removal was worried about this also but got pregnant 2 months after ectopic and tube removal and I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and all is well!
Hope you find answers to help ease mind but hold onto hope and a healthy pregnancy and baby in the future!
