Tampons for first period

Hi, just a quick question - I've got my first period post mc and I have to take DS to swimming this afternoon. Can I use tampons? I had retained products and an erpc. Thanks!

I know you aren't supposed to use them for mc bleeding due to infection risk but I can't see why it would be an issue now.
Just use a fairly low absorbency and remove it straight after swimming.

I was told not to use them for 6 weeks after my ERPC.
