Nothing on the scan

I went to the epu today for bloods and a scan, scan showed nothing. I had a phone all this afternoon to say my levels were very low for a 7 week pregnancy so the pregnancy had failed. The lady said it was not ectopic as the levels are too low.

So does that mean I was actually pregnant and I have miscarried, I'm very confused about the term "failed pregnancy"

I'm still testing positive and have to go back next week for more blood tests.

Hi catcarpet, sorry you're going through all this. You situation sounds similar to mine. I had light spotting and after a scan at 7 wks, I was told I had a blighted ovum - where the sac had developed but the baby had not. This meant I still got all the normal preg symtoms and positive tests but unfortunately it was never a viable pregnancy, it's all very cruel. I was told I would miscarry eventually but I opted for an ERPC. Sending you big hugs xx
