Possible miscarriage at 7 weeks

This is my 1st pregnancy, currently at 7 wks. On Fri evening suffered a sharp headache & husband said I went very pale. Thought nothing of it and got some early rest. Then on Sat, noticed brown spotting there was no pain associated with it but continued through the day, eventually at 3pm went to A&E as was getting quite worried. Doctors couldn't give definite diagnosis as EPU weren't open on long weekend to do a transvaginal ultrasound. By Sun there was red blood and I started to wear a pad, there was still no pain. Went to A&E again at a different hospital, again they couldn't be definitive as their gynaecology unit wasn't open to do scans! The booked me in for a scan tomorrow (Tues) so that's when I'll know for sure. However today the bleeding has gone a lot worse. Its continually red with clots, liver like tissue and I've started experiencing pain and cramps. Used up another pad already and taken 2 paracetamols. When I go to the toilet the bowl is red.
I'm really upset as I'm sure I've miscarried without even having the scan to confirm. Such a rollercoaster of emotions. This is the worse long weekend (also found out our car tyre got punctured so we'll have to cab it tmr to hospital!). Hopefully I'll have some answered tmr.

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this. It's a horrible waiting game when you bleed over a weekend, I've had this happen to me, and we wrote our car off that day too, strangely. The a and e staff can't really help. When I went in at nine weeks they tried using a Doppler Hmm. Just hang on in there until Tuesday. I don't want to give you too much unrealistic hope, but sometimes pregnancies carry on with quite a lot of bleeding. So go for your scan on tues and see what they say.

Went for my scan yesterday and confirmed that I've miscarried. I think I already knew in my heart after seeing all the blood. The ultrasound showed my uterus was clean, so it probably came out on Monday. The hospital couldn't give a reason for the miscarriage. Spent all day in bed yesterday, horribly confused and wondering if there was something that could have been done to prevent all this. We want to try for another baby but this whole incident has left me so scared.

christine I understand how your feeling. I miscarried at 9 weeks the end if June and all I can say is it will get easier. I was upset, confused and very angry because I couldn't find a reason. but you much understand that it is not your fault. 1 in 4 pregnancies end before 12 weeks. Renemer your body is capable Of making a baby. Just take it easy. Let yourself cry etc and try as soon as your ready.
Be easy of yourself

Hi Christine, really sorry Sad. Take care of yourself, allow yourself to be sad but know that there is really nothing you could do. I miscarried at nine weeks. It was while trying to conceive dc2 and I now have dd1, ds and dd2. There is absolutely nothing to say that one miscarriage will affect your ability to go on and have a full term, healthy baby in the future when you're ready.

Btw, ds was conceived three months after the miscarriage. (We only waited that long because we needed fertility treatment and they wouldn't let us try until I'd had three periods)
