So sorry your going through this. I've had 3 and its pretty rubbish.
Some gps recommend waiting until AF arrives so they can date your next pregnancy but personally when ever you feel ready, biologically and emotionally.
I always wait abit because I think the bfn would push me over the edge.

This is my second mc. i know it seems really soon to ttc again but i feel like its the only way i can move on. is that selfish?

Sorry for your loss, it's awful isn't it?

I had a mc at 11 weeks last year. I was like you, desperate to get pregnant again. My advice to you would be to wait until a week or so after the bleeding has stopped, and do a pregnancy test. If it's negative then you will know that your body has gone back to 'normal', and if you later you get a positive test you will know it's a new pregnancy. If it's still positive 4 weeks after your mc it may be a sign that the mc isn't complete so might be worth a trip to the GP or getting back in contact with your EPU.

I had a negative test within a few weeks, but it took about 3 months for me to have a normal cycle. It took about 9 months for me to get pregnant again, and those 9 months were long, but it happened Smile.

Best wishes

hi Laura, my miscarriage was 2 weeks ago too so I really sympathise. I have been told I only need to wait till bleeding has stopped before trying again, not thatwe are going to! and I had a d and c, seems to depend on which doc you see. good luck x
