delayed implantation bleeding or miscarriage

Just looking for some advice, I dont know dates etc but I got a positive test (6 actually) 3 weeks ago. On Sunday night there was some dark blood on wiping, Monday I had a scan at EPU. Nurse estimated 6weeks, could see a sac but too early for heartbeat. Have a return appointment in two weeks. She suggested that it could be delayed implantation bleeding. Today bleeding has become slightly heavier, still very dark, no cramps or clots. I dont know if I should continue hoping that it will be ok in 2 weeks time or if the increased bleeding is the start of a miscarriage? How can I tell the difference?

A miscarriage bleed will usually be accompanied by heavy cramping, even at an early stage I had bad cramps. Implantation bleeds are usually only spotting. There are a massive number of reasons why you may bleed and still be fine so don't worry yourself too much, if the bleeding gets very heavy or you get severe cramps get yourself to
A&E to be looked at.

Fingers crossed its all okay.

It might be neither. Some people just bleed with no explanation, when's your next scan? My fingers are crossed for you, I'm going through the same they said its a "threatened miscarriage" they saw a heartbeat at my scan at 6weeks go again in 2days. It's probably nothing for you to worry about :) x
