AF after mmc

Any ideas when AF should arrive. I had erpc at 8.5wks which was now 8 weeks ago and nothing. Should I be concerned? Getting referred for recurrent mc as my 3rd mc and don't remember waiting so long last time.
Thanks

Hi littlemiss sorry to hear about mcs...glad you are getting a referral and best wishes for the future.

I have spoken to other mums who have taken up to 12 weeks to get cycles on track after a mc. I have got the opposite problem to you, I am now 12 weeks post mc and continuously bleeding!

It is possible for your GP to help you with this and give you something to 'kick start' your period, but I have found with mc that they prefer a wait and see approach to almost any symptom and you might have to make a bit of a fuss! The big clue that my AF was coming was yellow discharge, the EPU said that meant I was a week off AF and they were spot on! Unfortunately it just hasn't stopped!

Hi quicksie that's interesting.
I had yellow discharge after a week or so that came and went.
GP doesn't want to give anything and I'm not keen either tbh as the only thing she said they could do is a mini pill to bring it on but that will play more havoc to my hormones.
Sorry to hear its not going very straightforward for you. It's pretty rubbish isn't it?!
Think we'll just have to wait and see what happens......

It never seems to end does it - then I remember that I have been post-mc for less time than I was PG, so my poor body is still on the wind-down from all that exhausting change that went on. I am having an investigation (ohh err!) done on Monday and I am hoping they can find out what the problem is - at the mo they are just saying 'hormones'. To be honest I would happily go back on the pill for a little while if it meant I wasn't spending all my cake money on sanitary products!

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Quicksie - as a complete side issue, have you considered a mooncup? Love mine!!

lurchlover that sounds like a really good idea - I will look in to it! So fed up of giving my money to Always. Thanks for the tip!
