Hi,

I had an early mc two weeks ago and a scan four days later that confirmed all was gone.
I have naturally low blood pressure usually around 95/62 but my during my miscarriage I was kept in hospital overnight when it dropped to 80/50. They took blood sample to check for aneamia but it came back all clear.

That was over a week ago now and bleeding has stopped but I'm getting spells of lightheadedness and nearly passed out walking to the train station.

I've already had too much time off work so am loathed to take a morning off to see the doctor, so I'm hoping this is normal and will pass. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi CarrotWithaTwist sorry to hear your news. I had low blood pressure while I was pregnant. Maybe your hormones are affecting it even though it was a couple of weeks ago, if it carries on maybe worth asking your GP to check. The other thing is are you eating and drinking properly and getting enough rest as you have been through a rough time mentally and physically and it can be easy to forget to look after yourself properly. I hope you feel better soon and get it sorted out.

Thank you Geekster I hadn't thought that hormones might affect blood pressure. That could be it. I'm eating ok but have not been sleeping well, worrying about returning to work, so that may not help.
I'll take it easy and see how it goes but thank you for your kind words.

make sure you are drinking enough, you will need more than usual after blood loss and dehydration will make you light headed, my miscarriage was a week ago and I took myself back into hospital yesterday because I felt faint, they said its to be expected, nothing they can do and to go home and rest and drink more, they were lovely but wish I hadn't bothered. will your doctor give you evening appointment if you worried but not wanting to take time off? or you could always do what I did and go hospital to get checked, if you no longer bleeding they may not want to see you though. I feel for you x
