5 weeks 1day Pregnant & started bleeding today:(

Hi I am 5 weeks 1 day Pregnant(was?) & started bleeding this morning, I went to doctors who took blood test & checked me over. He looked at my cervix & said it was still closed which is a good sign but may still open. I have another blood test booked for this Friday & Scan booked for next Wednesday. The waiting is awful, I think I know the outcome already, am so teary:(. Can anyone give me any advice, have only just joined & this is my first post.

Hi Chlosha. I think you shouldn't lose hope yet. This happened to me at the same point; bright red blood and lots and lots of it. Went on for a few days. DS is now 4 years old and running round the house being 'superman'.

I still remember what a horrible time that was and I was convinced the pregnancy was over. Don't give up hope.

Thank you so much for this! I'm trying not to give up hope but so very worried. Trying to rest & praying that everything is ok, so lovely to hear about 'Superman'! I have two girls who are 13 & 10 with my ex husband. I am 38 now & have been with my partner for 6 years, he has practically brought my girls up & we decided to try for a baby to complete our family. Really didn't expect this to happen & all this waiting & not knowing is horrible. Thanks again, you made me smile on such an awful day!

Did you have stomache cramps Blameitonthebogey?

Yes! Terrible ones which were apparently 'stretching pains'.

Fingers crossed for you - I really hope it isn't anything to worry about.

Hi Blameitonthebogey, just to let you know that I lost the baby:(. Knew I was, very sad & emotional. Fingers crossed for all us ladies who are trying, to have healthy pregnancies & baby's soon! Xx
