Lost my babies last week, trying to make a difference

Last week I lost my twin daughters at 21 weeks. My waters broke and after three days I was induced because I was showing signs of infection and my babies were struggling. After a 6 hour labour knowing I wouldn't hear my babies cry, Harriet and Felicity were born on 2 July. They were beautiful and perfect in every way but so incredibly tiny. We were able to hold them and had a funeral for them on Tuesday. As we were 5.5 months almost everything was ready -nursery, pushchair, clothes.... And now I have no babies. We are utterly devastated but want to do something positive in their memory. On their due date in November my husband and I will begin a 325 mile bike ride from home in East Sussex to Northallerton in Yorkshire where our daughters were born. We are raising money for Tommy's and Tamba. Please visit our website bornsilently.blogspot.co.uk if you think you can help, or like our Facebook page to raise our profile: www.facebook.com/bornsilentlycyclechallenge

There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss and the experience you have been through. I have the greatest admiration for what you are doing. I will 'like' your page. x

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've just had a look at your website and donated on justgiving. I lost monochorionic diamniotic twins in 2009. If you ever need to talk, I'm always here. Good luck with the cycle!xx

Thank you do much Chocoholic - I am so sorry you had to go through this too... I hate to think of anyone else feeling this pain too. I would love to hear how you survived.
