Hi,

Had a scan last week at 6w5d and again yesterday at 7w5d and both times baby has measured just over a week too small for dates and altho there is a h/b, it is apparently slower than it should be... (we had IVF by the way)

My consultant said this could go either way really, but to prepare for the worst Sad I have a tilted uterus, which I have heard can account for some discrepancy in dates/size.

Has anyone else been in this situation and what happened? I have also posted this on the pregnancy board, but thought some of you ladies over here might have a better idea. Can't cope with this...

Oh curlyLJ, how worrying. I have no wise words but didn't want to read and run. I'm sure someone more helpful will be along soon.

Very sorry to hear that curly. My sil measured small throughout the first trimester and now has a healthy 3 year old. Unfortunately I measured small with both my miscarriages but by the time they discovered this I was bleeding quite heavily & cramping so my prognosis looked much darker than yours. Rest, take time off work, try to relax as much as possible & push to be scanned again ASAP. Keep posting, this board gave me so much support. Wishing you a really good outcome xxx

I'm a m/c queen myself, but have no knowledge of the difficulties a 'tilted uterus' might involve. Perhaps you could post again adding 'tilted uterus' in the heading so that it attracts some of the relevant wealth of knowledge? Someone may be able to put your mind at rest re the potential fir this baby to grow and thrive. Smile

Best of luck!
