I'm not entirely sure what is happening to me, and wondered if anyone had any similar experience and what happened.
I sadly had a missed miscarriage in my first ever pregnancy, after 6 months off the pill, at around 8-9 weeks, in January this year. Although a heart beat was found at 7 weeks, it had disappeared by 9 weeks. I opted for medical treatment rather than a D'n'C, due in part to me being a little anxious about the anaesthetic. I finally stopped bleeding and tested -ve at the end of January.
I was told to expect my periods being a little erratic after this. However, my first period cam 16.2.12. The next was 6 weeks later, around 30.3.12 (usually a 30-32 day cycle). Then nothing. I did a pregnancy test 1.5.12, which was neg.
As still nothing happening, I did a further test 9.10.12 which was positive. As I was completely unsure as to how far along I was, a scan was arranged, showing an empty 7mm sac at around 5 weeks. I was told this was entirely normal, as anything other than a sac would be too small to show up. Another scan was arranged for 2-3 weeks later.
However, I badgered my GP to do serial HCG levels. My first (18.6.12) was 5143, and a 2nd one, 21.6.12 showed 3916.
I now have a scan booked for 25.6.12. I am so worried as to the falling levels, and feel I am heading for a 2nd missed miscarriage. I am experiencing no bleeding or pain, and still feel "pregnant", although I am not sure if this is just nervous worry anymore.
I have tried reading about what this may mean, but its all so conflicting/confusing. Some sites say I have higher than average levels at 5-6 weeks pregnant, others not. Some people have had levels up and down and up again.
I am feeling upset, anxious and numb all at the same time, and not sure what to do with myself until Monday.
I am so sorry if this is too much information. I am on my own at home this weekend, as my husband is away out of the country, and haven't told any friends or family yet about this pregnancy, due to what happened last time.

No idea on any sort of advice for you, but couldn't just read and run. Is there anyone in real life who you could tell, someone who would be sympathetic if the worst was to happen, but would be overjoyed with you (hopefully) when you get good news? I personally couldn't handle coping with that on my own.

Hoping and praying for a good outcome for you.

Thanks for your msg. I have told my mum, but sadly she is 200 miles away. She has been phoning throughout the wknd though.
My dh is back today. Sadly, I started bleeding and having cramps yesterday.
I hope, in some way, that the scan tomorrow will show a complete mc, and no further treatment needed. As I was only about 6 wks, the bleeding hasn't been as heavy as last time.
Will update with scan results tomorrow.

I really feel for you- I had a MC at 6 weeks earlier this month.

As I understand it a falling HCG is likely to mean the pregnancy is failing. I hope the scan proves me wrong, good luck x
