I had a miscarraige at the start of May my HCG level on 6th May was 51 - I had started bleeding that day but the hospital told me the baby had died weeks ago and my body just took a while to catch up which is why my hgc was so low - by the 8th I took a pregnancy test that registered hcg up to 10 after a day of heavy bleeding and the test was negative showing my hormone level were totally normal.

However I still havent had my period and I am normally on the day like clock work, I did a test this morning and it was negative as I felt sick this morning and hubby is certian my boobs have grown as well as the out break of spots that have appeared!

Is it normal for your body to take a few weeks more to get back into a normal cycle after a mc (was only 7 weeks) or should I speak to my doctor about a blood test or something? Sorry if I am appearing stupid I just have no idea as have never had a MC before and the hospital litrally told me to do the test a few days later and if was negative I didnt need to be seen again and that was all the advice/ help I was given?

Ovulation can be a bit erratic after a mc. You may have just ovulated later than normal and period just delayed because of this or you may have ovulated later than normal and conceived but not showing up just yet as BFP as too early. my daughter mc on 2 Sept (with BFN afterwards)and tested positive again by 28 September. I would wait a few days and test again if no period arrives. Good luck!

I am very sorry about your loss. Yes, the body can take a while to recover and the hormones are often all over the places after a miscarriage and it can feel all very confusing physically and emotionally. I had eight miscarriages and conceived my daughter two months after the fourth, and thought I had just a weak period, whilst she was already implanting in the womb. The pregnancy with my daughter went without any complications, although I was considered a risk pregnancy. I will pray for you, if you allow me to.
