Cramping/bleeding after ERPC - what's normal?

I had my erpc on Thursday morning. On Thursday the bleeding was quite heavy, but I didn't have any pain. Lighter bleeding on Fri and no pain. Then Friday night I started with really bad cramps - stabbing pains, like bad period pains. I put it down to my body finally realising it wasn't pregnant any more (had a mmc with no bleeding at all prior to the erpc) and my uterus contracting. Yesterday the pains continued, but I had no bleeding at all until about 4pm when I got a big gush and since then it's been quite heavy again. Today the cramps have been varied - sometimes there, sometimes not, but for about three hours now I have had a severe pain in the lower left side of my abdomen - it's a constant pain and feels like a severe stitch. Pressing my hand into it eases the pain a bit and as soon as I take my hand away it feels worse. Does all this sound normal? I'm not so worried about the bleeding, as as I understand it it's normal for it to come and go at this stage. The pain worries me more in case it means there's some retained tissue. What do you think, normal or not?

I had ERPC and polypectomy on Monday. I only had slight cramping, hardly needed to take painkillers and blood flow was like a medium period for a couple of days and eased right off Thur/Fri. I was told to ring the day surgery unit or GP if I had any concerns after surgery. How are you feeling today?
