I can't imagine it is supposed to Hurt this much?! I have a sharp pain down the left hand side of my abdomen . I've not been bleeding much at all. Pain worse today than before. I've already been on the anti biotics as they give them to you at the hospital .. Doctor prescribed me some naproxen over the phone .. I really don't want to have to go through the procedure again. Is it normal to be in lots pain after he op?

I had reasonably pad pain after my most recent erpc (sure it was worse than my 1st but can't really remember) although it wasn't constant, it was more like bad period pains and a few hours later I would bleed heavily so I think it was my uterus contracting. When was the op? Would there have been time for an infection to take hold? I called the hospital about 4 days after my erpc to tell them about the pain and they said it was still normal. Hope you feel better soon. x

Hello, I am also in a lot of pain (I had my Erpc today). I am actually finding it hard to stand up after sitting. It is worrying me a bit as I have had a natural mc and mmc and Erpc before and can't remember such pain. I would suggest calling your early pregnancy unit if it continues and see if you can get seen and maybe re scanned.
Take care, this miscarriage business is totally shite. X

Sorry for typos. And just realised the title of your post says you had erpc 2 days ago. I think some pain is normal - mine kept me up for quite a while for 2 nights - but as jemima says ring the hospital if only to put your mind at rest. I would have thought it's too early for pain to be caused by retained tissue. X
