miscarria

Hi, I think I may have miscarried in the last couple of days without knowing I was pregnant? My breasts were tender and I was having period-like pains. Plus missed a period which is very rare for me. I started bleeding after heavy sex. How do I know if I've been pregnant or not? I'm 46 so extra worried. Thanks.

Maybe try to take a test. If it only been a couple of days it might pick it up still and if it comes back positive then you must see a doctor as it might not be a miscarriage and some other bleeding instead. If it's negative then keep an eye on the bleeding and if there's anyhthing different about it then again see the doctor. Bleeding after sex can ve a warning sign. Sorry not trying to scare you :)

There's probably no way of knowing for sure if you have had a chemical pregnancy or not. It may just be your cycle changing with age. Do a test to make sure, and definitely see a doctor if you experience any more non-menstrual bleeding after sex.
