Ok so my lmp was 19 jan, I got a pos hpt 16 feb and I spotted for ten days, only brown though. Day 11 I had a bit of red blood and had bloods done which came back as 60 for hcg and 13 for progesterone. The nurse said it was most likely a miscarriage. So I continued to bleed heavily for the next week and a half. I then did a digi and it came back 1-2. That was on the Wednesday and on the Sunday I had a scan which showed my lining was 5mm and I was told the bleeding should taper off. I had bloods done again and hcg was 100, the nurse had no explanation. I had bloods done again on Tuesday and they came back at 79. The nurse said everything should resolve itself. Anyway took a digi today and came back 2-3 weeks pregnant, I have read that levels have to be over 200 for this to happen. Went to hosp scan showed lining at 5mm even though I have been bleeding this week and I am waiting on the blood results. Has anyone experienced anything like this, I just want it all to be over?

I know that people are busy and dealing with their own issues but some advice would really be appreciated, my husband doesn't understand and i really have no one to talk to

Go with the blood tests rather than the pregnancy tests. Also levels like 100 or 200 are absolutely miniscule. Keep in touch with your EPU who will sign you off when they're satisfied that you've miscarried or have a stable pregancy IYSWIM.

Been through this myself recently so I feel for you. It's the not knowing that's worse.

Just wanted to say how sorry I am that you're going through this. I've had 2 mcs but both were missed & picked up on scans, after which I had erpcs, so quite different to your situation. But however it happens I know that dealing with the shock & sadness not to mention all the physical side effects, is just the most awful thing. Please take some time off work if you can and make sure you get all the answers you need from the hospital. Sorry I can lt be more help but I just wanted you to know that I'll be thinking about you & hope you're ok x

I recently had a miscarriage at 8 wks, but I was getting low hcg readings from about 5 wks. The hcg blood tests diagnosed that my pregnancy wasn't viable- there are thresholds that should reach each week, which are very wide, but I wasn't reaching the minimum. Then they scanned me which showed poor development. I was booked down for a rescan and erpc if my body had not processed miscarriage , 10 days after my first scan, but I miscarried naturally before this date.

It was very hard to deal with mentally, because I felt neither pregnant or otherwise. A horrible limbo. I am so sorry you are in this position. I hope your hospital monitor you closely on the back of your hcg results, and that you are offered some 'plan b' treatment if your body is not able to complete the miscarriage. It is so hard when it goes on and on. Thinking about you x
