First AF after MC - am I normal?

I had a mc 4 and a half weeks ago. I had spotting on and off right until I got my AF last Wednesday/ Thursday. I'm still bleeding now. Each time I think the bleeding is starting to tail off I get a bit more. When my flow was at its heaviest it was like a normal AF but now I'm getting what looks like EWCM with bright red blood in it. Is this just my boy regulating itself? Did anyone else experience anything like this? I just want it o stop so I can start ttc again.

Oops meant to say is it my 'body' regulating itself. Stupid iPad!

Hi - I didn't want to just read and leave... so so sorry to hear about your mc. There are so many of us knocking around here right now in exactly your position. I may even start a new thread to give us all a "home".

I can only tell you what I have been told/read and that is after the first AF you should be pretty confident that your cycle will be consistent with a regular cycle (but that it may be a different length to what it was before).

I know it is not everyone's bag, but have you considered using Ovulation sticks? Cheap on ebay/amazon and at least you will know when you are ovulating so you can reassure yourself that your cycle is indeed back into the swing of things.

What do you mean when you say after first AF my cycle should be consistent with a regular cycle? Do you mean it should be of around an average length etc? I'm feeling a bit nervous because before I got pg I had a lot of problems with spotting in between AFs. Strangely enough though the month I got pg I had no spotting. I'm hoping after this AF finishes I don't have anymore problems with my cycles.

Forgot to say, yes I have ovulation sticks and a cbfm that I will start using again. I've decided to wait until I get my next AF though as I don't want to freak out if I don't ovulate this cycle (I've heard it's common not to ovulate the first cycle after mc).

Hi, sorry to hear what you've been going through. Also MC, around 5 weeks ago (6/2) and had first AF friday before last (16 days ago) which lasted properly for 6 days and then have had the same sort of spotting you described since :( Am hoping is normal as had hoped would be out of the woods by now..
