Is there still hope for me?

Last week I had a positive preg test, which would make me 5 and a half weeks today, this morning I woke up went to the toilet and when I wiped there was blood (not fresh red and not brown, just light period type) but so far only that wipe has had blood but it was more than spotting!
I had to take the day off work as this is my 3rd pregnancy in 10 months, first was mmc at 13wk(baby died at 8wk) 2nd was mc at 6wks, so obviously couldn't stop crying this morning.
Could this be the attachment bleed? (I always thought it would be light spotting?)
Should I be optimistic or is this the start of my 3rd mc?
I know no-one can be certain of what's happening to me but I just needed some advice from women that can understand where I am coming from!
xx

Hi sorry to hear your news. I had that at about six weeks but it was really heavy literally running out into the loo.
Scan at 7 weeks found heartbeat and am now 25 weeks.
Sounds like implantation spotting to me; I hope all works out. If you dont get cramps or clots you tend to be fine.
Keep us posted x

I don't know but sending you good wishes and hoping things work out.

I did forget to mention that I have also had pain (dull ache) for last few days but put that down to pregnancy as books and doctors says early signs are period like pains!!
But I feel bit better after your great news Purple, lets hope that is all it is!
Thank you purple and also thankyou Fuchzia x

I had aches too like period pains. They called mine a threatened miscarriage and said to be really careful and take things easy ie don't lift anything heavy. A few days with your feet up and trying not to worry.
Eventually the baby outgrows the bleed in the womb and I bled on and off for a couple of weeks after the initial one which was like brown old blood or the end of a period so if you get more of that try not to worry.
Early preg unit will scan you from seven weeks you dont have to wait for midwives to sort it out you can call direct. My
Midwives were awful and just said what will be will be and didnt offer any help or support so I rang them myself an they were the nicest people I have ever met!
Good luck and take care of yourself remember feet up and chocolate and cuddles from dh/dp Smile

Hi Lola - you kindly responded to my post and I've just found yours.

Really keeping everything crossed for you. I've been told that implantation is more of a process that can take a while and can lead to bleeding. I bled briefly during my pregnancy with my daughter (a bit later on) and she was fine! I'm just worried in my case because of the very familiar pattern!

Lola I just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're going through this stress and I really hope it works out for you. I have no experience with bleeding I'm afraid but I had constant crampy pains with all my pregnancies (including the one that worked) so I think its normal as things grow/change and unless its very painful is not necessarily something to worry about.

foxymoron · 13/03/2012 19:41

Firstly I am very sorry you are going through this. Bleeding is common in early pg but unfortunately it can be a sign of mc too. When you are about 6 weeks if nothing further has happened your epu will be able to scan you and be able to see if your baby is ok and check for a hb. I really hope everything is ok and have my fingers crossed for you xx

Thanku everyone I am trying to stay positive, had no more bleeding yesterday but woke up and had more still very small amount so fingers crossed.
I am trying to stay positive but have horrible gut feeling (but not surprising with history)
Thanku again xx

Hi there everyone Thanku for all the kind messages.
Unfortunately today I woke at about 6am with herrendous pain and a lot of blood, went to a&e to confirm my fears, yes i have mc for the 3rd time.
From the results of my hcg level blood probably been mc-ing since first small bleed on Tuesday as they were very very low.
But Thanku everyone for your responses they really do help to make me feel better.

Oh Lola I'm so sorry, you poor thing xxx

Purplehonesty · 15/03/2012 20:10

Oh Lola I'm so so sorry. I don't know what to say as nothing will make it better. I hope you are being well looked after and getting lots of rest.

If you have a look on the mc board when you are feeling a bit stronger you will see that lots of women have had mcs and then gone on to have healthy babies so I hope this will reassure you a bit.

If you ever want to chat then pm me
A very unmumsnetty hug coming your way x

Hi Lola

I'm so sorry to hear your news. Are you able to get a referral to a recurrent miscarriage clinic?

I'm keeping everything crossed for you.
