how do you calculate ovulation after miscarriage?

Hi all,
I miscarried and the hormones have dropped to 6 this am from hcg blood test i have been told can try straight away by hospital but now wondering when will i ovulate? i was 5 weeks at start of miscarriage. Thanks xx

I didn't calculate, just went for it... And am now 27 weeks! mc was at 6 weeks. MW did her calculations as though mc was a normal period and scans showed she wasn't far off the estimated due date.

I don't think you really can calculate it in the first month. You could use cheapie ovulation tests once you have had a negative pregnancy test. Since your miscarriage was early, you are likely to have similar to your normal cycle, perhaps a bit longer.

Since it is the first month, I wouldn't start the testing or charting or whatever yet. Just go for it when you feel like it and give yourself time to feel better and get back in the swing of ttc. Once you've had your next period, go back to whatever you were doing before to find out when you are ovulating.
