Infection after miscarriage?

Hi just wondered if anyone has or had an infection after a miscarriage? I know the signs and symptoms but not what is actually infected and treatments?

I had an infection on my uterus after a miscarriage in January, had two lots of anti biotics. 1st lot didnt work and ended up with bladder and kidney infection and an abcess on my bowl! ouchh, not a nice experience nearly ended up with anti biotic injections! luckily the 2nd lot of VERY strong anti bs worked! x

I'm on antibiotics at the moment for an infection following an ERPC.

I stopped bleeding quite soon after the procedure (about 5 days) but had really dark almost orangey discharge for a while afterwards. I thought that it was just old blood mixed with normal discharge at first but I started getting a lot of it, and some mild uterine pain as well so I went to the walk in centre who gave me 7 days of antibiotics which seem to have done the trick
