To anyone who has recently suffered a miscarriage & wondering if there is hope. This day 6 years ago we had a missed miscarriage confirmed. Seemed like the world was ending. I have just tucked my 5 year old in bed and kissed my 3 year old good night. It can all end well. Wishing you all luck.

I have had two MCs at six weeks and no DC; now 9 weeks and with a reassurance scan booked for Monday. Fingers crossed that one day I will be leaving a lovely note like this for people in this position. Thanks for posting it has made me smile :)

thank you for this thread. My first pregnancy just ended with a missed mc at 20 weeks. It is so hard to hang on to the hope of having a little one, and your posts really have helped me. Bless you

What a lovely idea. Well done OP.

My first baby would have been one last month. I sat in the garden and had a little cry on what would have been his birthday. Then I came inside, gathered up my six month old and gave him the biggest cuddle ever.

He's curled up in bed snoring his little head off now. I can't imagine life without him but if I hadn't miscarried he wouldn't exist.

I hope that helps give others some hope Thanks

WishingIWasLucky · 24/02/2012 19:36

Idlewild · 25/02/2012 15:28

This thread is making me well up.

I had a MMC in October 2005. I had been so excited for the 6 weeks between getting the positive test and the awful day of the scan. We didn't see it coming. The next few months were the hardest of my life. Everyone around me seemed to be having babies, I didn't think it would ever happen for me.

I now have 2 beautiful DD s who are 5 and 1, and am presently cuddling my wonderful surprise DS who is 7 weeks old today.

The very best of luck to all of you still waiting for your happy endings

tasmaniandevilchaser · 25/02/2012 17:04

thank you it's so good to hear things like this

horrorcomic · 06/03/2012 21:33

Can I add a note of hope too? I had 3 early mcs and then ds now 6 and then 2 more mcs and then dd 2. Not planning on trying again though!

WishingIWasLucky · 07/03/2012 11:10

Did you all conceive naturally or with medical investigations/assistance?

horrorcomic · 07/03/2012 13:04

I conceived naturally but did have the full battery of tests, once before ds was born and once after when it all started happening again. They never found anything wrong. With my dd I took low dose aspirin. I feel very lucky that my local hospital has a great epau, which I could self refer to and also a recurrent misscarriage unit with a lovely consultant.
