Counselling after miscarriage?

A good friend of mine is (understandably) struggling to come to terms with three miscarriages following a care-free first pregnancy with her DD who is now 2. She hasnt been offered any counselling and I wondered if any of you knew of anything I could pass on to her. I have suggested coming on here but its not her style. Any advice appreciated.

miscarrtage association. they have lots of phone support contacts you can ring. wd personally recommend it - 3 mcs after dd1 myself. also will get you link to st mary's recrrent mc clinic. web page has reassuring stats.

arfur,
try and get your freind to come onto mumsnet and just check out what we are all about. It is a bit awkward at first but then it becomes easier to talk as people on here are genuinly supportive and most have experienced the same. I have had five m/c in just over 12 months and have been thru counselling etc if she wants someone to chat to I am here. You can find me on the TTC thread.

Best of luck

If she is up north, Liverpool Women's Hospital also have a recurrent miscarriage clinic.

I contacted the miscarriage association and it made me more depressed as the councellor was a lady that had never been able to have children and I felt she was comparing my situation to hers and I really didnt want to hear that I may never be able to have children. as it was I had 2 healthy girls in the end. but just beware who is councelling I would say.
