Can somebody help me?

hi everyone,

I am in desperate need of some help and advice.

I am ttc but last week I had my period again, however last night I woke up with the worst cramping and started bleeding, the only way I can describe it is it is like a really heavy period with clotting. Im still bleeding. Dh works away in the week an I'm really scared and on my own. Could I have suffered a very early miscarriage without even realising I was pregnant?

Sorry that you are on an your own and scared. Please try not to worry! Where are you in your cycle? Could just be a heavy period but it is possible that it is a chemical pregnancy (v early miscarriage) - unfortunately very common, about 50-60% of first pregnancies end in miscarriage this way, most occuring without the woman even knowing that she was pregnant.

Most chemical pregnancies occur because of chromosomal abnormalities. It's not something you could ever prevent.
Hopefully the bleeding will ease off, the embryo at this stage is very tiny and there is not much to pass. If you need reassurance now, try and get an appointment with your GP today. I wish you all the best.

Hi MrsKxxx. Just agreeing with what Clarey said above.

I recently started to mc when DH was away, and it was very frightening, so I do feel for you. Even though he was supportive, he wasn't physically here, and I couldn't always contact him at work due to him being in meetings.

I'd definitely get the bleeding checked out with your GP, just for your own peace of mind. I think that being on your own makes it all the more important to get the reassurance you need from your doctor.
