MMC & ERPC just over 2 weeks ago and now im bleeding again!

Hello - Ive been on here before but I just want to know if anyone has any idea why I have started bleeding 2 weeks after my miscarriage and ERPC. Am in lots of pain - is this my period?

I had a MMC at ten weeks where I lost a lot of blood and was rushed into A&E then 3 days later had a scan and there was still fetal tissue left so they advised me to go for the ERPC. Felt like I had to go through it twice but wanted it over - bled for nearly a week afterwards but then stopped...started to feel I was getting back to normal (altho boobs and belly still swollen) then yesterday had extreme period like pains and started bleeding...is this still miscarriage or period coming early...feel like I'm all over the place! Anyone had anything similar? x

This doesn't sound normal in my experience of two ERPCs - get to the dr as soon as possible as you are in pain. Could be an infection or something.

Hi, I haven't had an ERPC but I bled/spotted for 6 weeks after my MC (at 7 weeks). I had to get antibiotics as there was still some tissue remaining (too small for ERPC though). I would do as poster above suggests and go to the GP incase of an infection. A course of anti-biotics should help.

Is the pain like period pain or something different?

I had bleeding on and off for a couple of weeks after ERPC, but it wasnt painful or heavy - I would go and get checked out just in case of infection.

monday 20th june went along to my 12 week scan to be told at 12.15 im sorry to tell you there is no heartbeat!!!!! what!
Had op (ERPC) on wed 22nd, and was bleeding till sat then it stopped!
Today as i went toilet i saw blood and now im feeling cramps and backache! has my period come after just 5 days!!!!!! Im so confused!

Mama5isalive and MsBump - just to say after my ERPC I had discharge for around a week-10 days, one day of nothing and then I started to bleed again. at my review the consultant said that it would have been my period at that stage so strange as it might seem yes it could be your period. However, if you are concerned or worried I wouldn't hang about, see your doctor. It is better to be a nuisence than regret possibly missing an infection. Kind regards xx

Get yourself to a doctor. I had an erpc which didn't work at 13 wkd and ended up being rushed into hospital a month later. You need a scan to see if they've got everything. Take care. I know how frustrating and scary this is, but you'll get through it soon xx

felt ill today faint, dizzy even when i laid down just felt awful, but my bleeding has stopped!!!!!! its crazy - i will call the erpc unit on monday!
went to GP on friday he was angry with the fact i have been offered no follow up after the op and he says i need the support that they can offer to deal with my emotional state! this is just the worse thing ive had to deal with since losing my mum in 2009!!!!!!
