9 weeks and bleeding need advice please

Hi all
Im 9 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for 2 days now im due to see the doctor 2mo as its my first pregnancy i have no idea what is going 2 happen will they be able 2 tell me if ive miscarried 2morrow or will they send me for a scan confussed please help :(

I think they will probably send you for a scan, it depends on whether your appt is at the hospital or not. I know that I was told often that bleeding in pregnancy is not necessarily a miscarriage - hold on to that thought and big hugs xxx

I bled through both my pregnancies and both pregnancies were fine I had to have several scans throughout but it was fine. Your dr should send you to epu if he doesn't then ring the midwife attached to your surgery and she will ensure you get referred for a scan. Hth, I hope everything is ok

Hi, you will most likely be referred to the early pregnancy unit at the hospital for a scan. And hopefully the scan will be able to show what's going on.

The scan isn't painful physically. They might do an internal scan as at this early stage it is the best way to see what is going on. This involves them putting a small probe ( and I mean small) into your vagina. It honestly doesn't hurt.

I had bleed during both my pregnancies. Lots of red blood for weeks. And neither pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage. So not all bleeding results in a miscarriage. And bleeding is very common. It's also very scary.

I would hope you'd an appointment this week but it's hard to say as it varies around the country and also on how many appointments have been made.

When I started bleeding I called my MW and she told me to phone the EPU rather than go to the GP so I could get a scan there and then? I phoned on a Friday and was seen on the Monday?

Hi Mum2b. I'm in a similar situation. Been spotting red and brown stuff since Sunday eve, but also have cramps and backache. Rang EPU on Monday morning and the earliest they could scan is Sunday. So I'm in a hellish limbo until then. Just waiting for bleeding to get worse really. Having had one MC before I am expecting the worst.
