Hi, firstly I'm sorry for your loss.

My situation isn't exactly the same as yours but it might be helpful for you to hear my story. I had a medically managed mc in February at 11 weeks. Initially I had a period 3 weeks later, and then 2 more very short cycles. This month though has been more normal, I ovulated on day 14 and I'm expecting my period on Monday. My GP told me that it can take 3 months for things to get back to normal, which has been true in my case.

I hope that things settle soon for you.

Hi Sukie I had an erpc at what would have been about 14 wks prg, but baby had died at around 6 (so a mmc). I then got my period 30 days after this (the erpc), which was a shock as my cycle is usually a lot longer than that (35-46 days ish). However the hospital told me I could get a period anywhere between 4-8 weeks after the erpc, so don't be shocked if it doesn't arrive just yet.

Sorry you are going through this.

Dear Sukie

I am so sorry for your loss. I agree with melies and creamcracker: my consultant also told me it can take a few months for things to get back to normal. I was told to expect my first period anything from 2 to 8 weeks after the ERPC. It came after exactly 6 weeks.

It is frustrating that after all the sadness, we also have to put up with an irregular cycle and the associated uncertainty. I hope your cycle is back to normal soon.

I've just had my first period following my ERPC five weeks ago - it turned up 32 days after the procedure which is pretty average for me, although I am always very aware of O'ing and I had no indication of that happening at all this cycle (which would seem normal).

You mention you think you O'd 11 days ago. If so, and your LP is the 'average' 14 days you could expect your period in three days. Have you charted/paid attention in the past and so know when your period usually turns up after O?

That said, it's also possible you geared up to O, getting all your usual signs, but then your body didn't go through with it, in which case you could still be some time away from your period...

As you've seen though there is quite a range of 'normal' after an erpc - really hope your body gives you some answers soon.
