When did you get your BFN after mc?

I'm guessing that if I trawl back through the archives I might find other threads on this topic, but thought it would be quicker to start a new thread! I had a mmc at around 11 weeks. Foetus handn't developed beyond around 5 and a half weeks. I had a natural miscarriage, in the follow up scan the hospital was happy that there was no retained tissue and that everything was clear. The lining of my womb was still slightly thickened at that time. This was 2 weeks ago. The nurse at the hospital told me we could start trying again as soon as I got a BFN. To me, the cm I have had today looks like I am ovulating but I have not yet had a BFN, 3 BFPs instead. Never thought I would actively be hoping for a BFN, always the opposite! Anyway, could I be ovulating right now despite still obviously having a certain amoung of HCG still in my system? How long did it take others to get a BFN, particularly those who had a natural miscarriage?

Hi pjd, sorry you've been through this. My situation is pretty identical to yours but sounds like I'm a week or so ahead of you. I did my first test last weekend - 2 weeks after the main bleed - and got a bfn. I really hope you get yours soon, my epu suggested not testing until 3 weeks tho. I've also been having ovulation-like cm over the last few days so hope things are getting back on track.

Hi and sorry for your loss. After Eric I got a negative after a week but after medical management it took three weeks. It varies a great deal I think. I know it's a horrible time and I hope things settle fir you soon.

I miscarried at 7 weeks, in early April, also a natural MC and a scan a week after showed a complete MC. I got a BFN exactly a week after I'd passed the sac and about 2 days after the bleeding stopped. I've had the beginnings of fertile CM but it's stop/start. I think my body is gearing up to ov but not quite ready to ov yet.

It's not something I'd normally type but I hope you get a BFN soon.

Hi pjd Sorry you are going through this too. I too had a natural mc at 12 weeks (due to a mmc at 7 weeks) so sounds very similar to you. I did a test that showed a BFN two weeks to the day I started bleeding. I had had a check up three days before that and they said there was a tiny bit of product left to come out, but I think it might have come out. Bleeding had stopped around this two week mark two but no sign of AF yet (3 weeks 2 days after starting bleeding). Hope that helps! It's not nice to go through I know, but it's good to start looking forward.
