MC'd in Feb - Should we try so soon for another PG?

Hi there,

Me and my DP were so excited and over the moon for our first PG. However, we went in for a 2nd scan at 9 weeks and were told I had MC'd a day earlier :(. So I had surgery. The whole morning sickness before and after were so profound. I wasn't myself at all. It was so tough. But at the time we were so happy to be PG. What makes it worse is 2 of my friends have just given birth for the 1st time. With no problems at all. Happy for them. Sad for me and DP. Anyways, It has been 2 months since the surgery and I am back to normal energy levels and PG sickness seems like a distant memory. My period came today (phew). Should we try to conceive again so soon? I am just so worried that I could MC again :(. Not sure how we'll handle it. Anyone else been through a similar situation?

Hi yes, I had mmcs in June, November and February . We tried after two cycles the second time, and didn't really try the third time but fell pregnant after one cycle. We are bow waiting until after tests and until i am mentally strong enough to cope with the worry of another potential loss. Only you know when you are ready but you do sound quite anxious which is perfectly normal. Have you had any counselling?

Hello, and sorry for your loss.

I had a silent mc at 11 weeks (baby stopped growing at 8) and we started trying again as soon as I had had a negative test (ie. As soon as I knew that the pg hormones had gone), I was advised at the epu that we could Stargell again whenever we felt ready.

When you are ready you are welcome to come over here and chat, everyone is very lovely and supportive, good luck x
