Hello,
I have been trying to get on and hope the weeks pass quickly until I reach 12... Unfortunately, I have already hit a problem I think.

Yesterday, whilst in tesco I started getting stabbing pains in my abdomen, I left, came home and laid down. About half hour after these pains/cramps started I bled, not masses but was a 'watery red' and a bit of brown. I prepared myself for the worst (mc last year), padded up and tried to sleep.

Anyway, when I woke this morning, expecting the worse, I found there was a few spots of dark brown blood. Throughout today I have not had any red blood and VERY slight brown spotting. I have had nothing for a few hours now and everything seems to be fading when I wipe. (No clots have been passede)

Have any of you experienced this?

I am only 5+3 weeks, and my EPU have said there is nothing they can do until I am at least 6 weeks. They have said to just monitor the bleeding for now, but I am so scared!

Thanks xx

Hi, so sorry you're going through this. I'm currently pg after a mmc (and erpc) last summer. I bled on and off throughout my first trimester with this pg which I found v stressful, it turned out to be because of a clot behind the placenta and I've been fine (but v anxious) since about 12 weeks. What I'm trying to say is that bleeding isn't always bad news and the hardest thing is the waiting.

Take care of yourself and I hope you have positive outcome

Hope things are OK for you. I had a similar experience and it worked out OK (so far) I have had 3 miscarriages (2 mmc on blighted ovum) and one DC. With this pregnancy I had a massive bleed (bright red blood that just gushed when I stood up one day at about 6 weeks). I was sure it was over (I had experienced 2 miscarriages right before) and had some pain and just felt very uncomfortable. But, like you, it ended and no more blood. It ended up being fine and I am now 24 weeks.

I understand your worry- just try as best you can to chill out and know there is nothing you can do. Bleeding is terribly common in early pregnancy, but that doesn't make it any less terrifying.

Good luck.

Hey Francesca - there's a whole bunch of people who have had very similar things happen to them - on a thread called the 'Freak Out Room' on the Conception threads. Random bleeding seems to be so common but it's terrifying when you've already mc. If you are in need of a bit of support pop in and say hello :)
