light bleeding

Hi, im new to this forum, and really need some advice.
Can anyone please help, i got my bfp on the 19th feb, on 24th feb started spotting, this hasn't stopped, it's more like brown discharge, sorry tmi.. I was referred to epau and had a scan on wednesday this week they said the uterus was empty, they then checked my hcg levels which were 688, these were checked again yesterday and had dropped to 317, doc said i am miscarrying, can anyone tell me if they have miscarried and only had light bleeding with no pain, i still got pregnancy symptoms and i am finding this so confusing, i just want it to be over now.. :( thanks for any advice.

I probably wont be too much help as dont understand all the science stuff but similar thing happened to me at the start of the week...

I miscarried on monday, i had more than brown discharge mine was quite red but i didnt have any pain either....

i went to the epu and my uterus was also empty and levels had dropped. So they confirmed that i had miscarried. still havent had any pain and the bleeding has stopped...

have they offered you any more tests? and have you passed any clots?

Sorry to hear you have been through the same, all they said was that my levels had dropped and that i was miscarrying and that i had to return next friday for repeat bloods to check levels were still dropping. I haven't passed any clots or anything like that, its really light. Thats why i am finding it confusing, i feel as though it should be worse than this..

Yeah i thought it would be alot worse as well, i still feel like im waiting for it to happen....

I only passed one very small clot which didnt seem to be enough but as my levels were going down they confirmed it!

How many weeks were you? Did they tell you what your levels were?

Going on lmp i would have been 7 weeks today.. Although dont quite trust that date as i ovulated late so think i would have been 5-6 weeks.. I had my levels checked on wednesday they were 688 which are not that high, and had them checked again on friday they had dropped to 317 so doc said its an unhealthy pregnancy and that i am miscarrying, i have to go back next friday to check hcg again. Just feels strange like its not really happening, do you think this is normal to feel like this? I know its early days, but i just want to move on now, and not feel pregnant anymore. Does that sound bad? If i had lost more blood i think i would have found it easier to deal with. Sorry for the rant..

No honestly hun, i woke up the next morning and thought it was all a dream! And the three days i had to wait before it was confirmed were just a blur. On the first day of my bleeding my levels were only 265, which is really low then dropped to 84 so they said the same thing. But i honestly couldnt believe it was happening and now i just feel like i need to get pregnant again asap to make it all better.

Theres some lovely ladies on mn and the girls in the miscarriage forum will be able to give you loads of advice. Ive found this site has really helped me actually, talking to other people who has been through the same thing has made me feel less sorry for myself!

hi, sorry you're going through this but a very early miscarriage like this is not usually very dramatic - at least, not physically speaking. hopefully it will just be like a slightly heavier than normal period, and your cycles won't be too disrupted.
before the days of very sophisticated home pregnancy tests, that can detect pregnancies early on, you would probably not even have known about this pregnancy and would just have assumed your period was a few days late.
