Bleeding after ERPC

I had a MMC, baby had stopped growing around 6 weeks. I found out at a scan at 12 weeks after having some spotting and I had an ERPC at 14 weeks as did not miscarry naturally. It is now almost 2 weeks later and I'm still bleeding. Some days hardly any at all then it will be like a fairly heavy period at other times with some very small clots. I'm just wondering how long it is normal to bleed for?

Also I've been off work now for 4 weeks and was going to go back next week but not sure if I feel ready. There have been 3 of us in my department miscarried in the last few weeks and I know I'll have everyone asking if im ok etc which I think might upset me.

I've been dealing with it by trying to keep busy with my dd and planning ttc asap. Not sure if going back to work will help me feel more back to normal or if it will upset me and would it seem wrong to take another week off?

I'm so sorry.

I found this helpful.

I went back to work on Thursday and it was 2.5 weeks after my erpc.

My job is quite stressful and very busy, albeit part time. It's too early for me, I wish I'd taken the extra week the doctor offered. I only have to get the Mon & Tues though as dh is having an op so having a few days off to look after him. Othewise I'd be at the docs on Monday tbh.

I can't help with bleeding I'm afraid, but I would get it checked out just in case.

I only work 2 days and was thinking maybe I should go back next Tuesday as I will have been off 4 weeks altogether, it will be 2 weeks since my erpc. Im now swaying more towards taking another week.

My bleeding seems to be a bit less today but I think I'll make a Drs appt for next week to get another sick note and if it hasn't stopped I can get the Drs opinion.

Hi,
I was a bit worried about bleeding after my ERPC as mine lasted quite a long time too - it was almost 3 weeks but it was fine and my first AF was later too - about 7 weeks. Don't worry, they tell you what's "normal" but everyone's different and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong, but if you are at all worried do get it checked out.

I went back to work a week after erpc, because it was when all the snow was on the go, and I was stuck in the house and just needed to see people and distract myself and do something normal. But the doctor would have been perfectly happy to give me more time, if you need it, take it.

take care

xxx
