Hi i have already posted on here not sure if this is another mc. I had bloods taken yesterday at 5+2 and they have just called me and said my level is 4000 and was asking about my pain and bleeding. They want me to go upto the ward for another scan tomorrow as well as another blood test. Now i am worried something is wrong as the did suspect an ectopic but my pain has now stopped. Can anyone help?

Hi Daisy I am so sorry you're going through this. I'm going through the same at the moment, and I don't know if I can help, but I'll try

I believe that that level is good for 5 weeks, but it is the rise that will be important, I was advised at least 66% increase in 48 hours, so unfortunately the next result will give the better picture
I've had pain and bleeding and they scanned me, ectopic being a concern but I think because they can't rule anything out. I was also told that as mine had more than doubled the chance of ectopic was very slim.
I hope your scan goes ok, but don't be alarmed if you don't see much as it's so early. I have been told that whilst not 'normal' it is 'common' to have pain/bleeding. My Dr seemed satisfied as I wasn't having a mc I just rest and wait for my 2nd scan.

It is scary when all this happens, I hope everything goes ok, it sounds like you're in good hands. I'm sure these nice ladies may have more info and advice if you need it x

Hi orangegloss thank you for your reply, i feel like i am in complete limbo. I feel like i can't understand my own body, it's crazy. I had a scan when i was 5+2 so tomorrow i will be 5+4 and just really hoping that 2 days will make some difference and can tell me whats happening otherwise i will have the weekend from hell having to wait for my blood results. I am not getting any pain now so hoping thats a good sign with the risk of ectopic.
Whats happening with you now? When is your second scan? Thinking of you too x

It's awful isn't it? It is the waiting and not knowing that is the worst thing.

If they are doing blood today, can they not turn it around same day? If you ask em nicely they might, worth a shot then you don't have to wait the weekend. I hope your scan goes ok, it's good they are doing all this, I googled and some women just get told to come back in 2 weeks. I'd be going insane by then!

I'm assuming they told you symptoms to watch for if it's ectopic? But no pain is good and hopefully today's scan will rule it out, and maybe show you something positive before the weekend.

Thank you :) My scan's on Monday, so I'm counting down the days. I've had enormous support from these ladies Grin who keep reassuring me that bleeding can happen and the pg can still be fine

(((hugs)))

Hi i have just come home from hospital, had my scan and they found it was ectopic so had to have emergency sergery the same day. They took the tube away and i also asked them to clip my other tube as i just can't go through this anymore. I have now had 4 mc and an ectopic i think my body has been through enough. I am lucky to have healthy children and i am greatfull for that. I am happy with my decision and to be honest i was so scared of falling pregnant again after all this i am quite relieved.
Please let me know how you get on and i will be thinking of you. Thank you so much for your support xxx
