Miscarrying at 5 weeks I think.

Went to the loo and 10 to 9 this morning and although there was no blood in the bowl, when I wiped (sorry) the paper was red. Since then (half an hour), I've noticed a spot of red in my pyjama bottoms. Have put on a sanitary towel.

I've never had a miscarriage before and I don't know what to expect.Have been reading up on the net just now, but am still unclear. I have a drs appt booked for tomorrow--should I still go? I have to look out for clots, right? As its so early in the pg would I need to do anything or just let nature take its course?
What do I do???

I feel so stupid; this baby was unplanned, but I arrogantly assumed this pg would go as smoothly as my first with DD. Sad

I'm sorry you're having this, I do think you should call your gp or mw for red blood asap just in case. They might want to give you an early scan though this may not be conclusive as it's so early, as I just found out.

Have you had any pain? Has the bleeding stopped now?

Last pg I had blood and was worried, people said 'you'll know' if you're miscarrying and for me it started with some blood and just got worse and worse followed by unbearable back and cervix pain, but when I had passed everything the pain pretty much went away straight away. However, I was waiting for an erpc at the time, so I don't know if that's 'usual' if there is such a thing

I'm sorry I don't know if that has helped at all, I hope everything turns out ok. People have told me that they have had red blood and been fine, so things could still be ok x

Thanks for the advice. I am still bleeding and its bright red Sad

I think I'm just worried that if I call my gp or an epu they won't want to know as I'm only 5 weeks.

DH has just rung our local epu who have advised us to get an emergency drs appt.

Oh that's good, I'm glad you're being seen. The problem is that even a small amount of blood looks a helluva lot when you're praying you don't have any. There are lots of good and bad stories if you google, but try not to or you'll go mad - I know, I've done it!

I hope it goes ok x
