I am currently mananging an early MC at home.
But I'm not sure how I am supposed to be feeling physically.
I'm exhausted, I have the worst headache ever, it actually hurts to touch my head. I'm dizzy when I stand up and my back and stomach are agony.
Is all of this normal? EPAC told me to take co-codamol, but I'm getting worse and worse.

Advice anyone?

doesn't sound right to me...a MC at seven weeks shouldn't be too dramatic; bit like a late period. i have no idea how to interpret this but if i were you i'd ring NHS direct for advice if you feel seriously unwell. i've had four miscarriages, two of them 'spontaneous' (ie happened at home) which were later than yours and i didn't experience anything like this. the headache is probably a huge hormone crash but not sure about the back and stomach thing.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

If you're feeling really poorly (and it sounds so) then you should pop down to A&E, thinking about your tummy being in agony and the dizziness. Really you should go, don't worry about wasting peoples time etc.

It varies always, there is no 'this is how it will be' despite what the hospital may have been told you. But your symtpoms sound quite bad for 7 weeks and I'd get it checked out.

Have they scanned you to rule out ectopic? Not trying to be frightening there just concerned.

hi there, i had an mmc at 8 weeks, dicovered at 13 weeks at scan. I managed mine naturally as it was my first and didnt know what to expect. Looking back mine happened very quickly, less than a week but it was a horrible experience and wouldnt repeat. But like all the above say everyones experience is different, i also had horrendous migraines b4 and after, fresh strong coffee helped me....
I recommend co-codimol, paracetamol and a hot water bottle front and back, i did help some, but my personal experience just wasnt nice.
Good luck with whatever you decide, so sorry for your loss. X

Hi Sleepycaz, I am so sorry you are going through this. I have MC at exactly 7 wks too and despite some saying it shouldn't be too bad or just like period pain, i was in doubled over agony for a good couple of days until i delivered. It's frightening if you have never experienced it before and yes some can sail through especially if they don't realise they are pg in the 1st place. I took paracetamols every 4 hrs and do try the hot water bottle if that helps. I did end up in hospital though as it was more than i could bear painwise and i too thought it may have been ectopic so thought it was the best place.

I so understand what you are going through and empathise completely, what a shitty think to happen.

Take care of yourself and don't be afraid to seek advice from NHS direct or from your MW/HV.

My thoughts are with you Sad
